MegaBall is a Other game offered by Playtech games provider.
Megaball is a progressive jackpot game. It is based around predicting and guessing the various aspects of a six-ball drop. The balls are dropped every 60 seconds and bets and stakes are placed in between the actual drops. For this game, variety really is the spice of life. There's so much you can do, you could lose yourself in this most interesting of games for hours.
There are many different ways to play. Put simply, you are trying to guess the attributes of six colored and numbered balls which are dropped into view every 60 seconds. Bets are between $0.10 and $100. The first of the choices you can make about the next set of balls is predicting the colors. You can whether balls will be red, yellow or blue and how many of each will appear. Alternatively, you can bet on a pre-selected cocktail, a mix of the three colors. The more balls you try and predict in color, the more your stake is going to be worth if you're correct. The next option is selecting the number written on the sixth ball. As this is harder (you have 1 - 48 to choose from), if you are correct you will win 45 times your original stake. Again, bets are between $0.10 and $100.
You can then try and guess the order of the balls in numerical value, selecting whether the balls will ascend or descend in numerical value. This is guesswork and also quite unlikely, hence the massive x680 your stake payout if you are correct.
Next up is trying to select up to four balls numerical values. The payouts are x7.60 (one ball correct), x71 (two balls correct), x820 (three balls correct) and x12,300 (all four balls correct) your stake.
Then its First and Last, where you have two options - whether the first ball dropped will be higher than the last, or vice-versa. Get this right and you receive x1.90 your stake.
And finally, you can guess the sum total of all the numbers on the balls, with seven different options. The most likely sum total is between 101 and 140, which will only earn x4 your bet. The highest payout is for the sum total to equal over 251, which is worth x5200 your initial stake. The other options fall in between these two figures.
With your selections made, simply press confirm and wait for the next balls to drop. There is a timer for each new drop and an alarm bell when the next drop is close, so you can get your selections in on time.
This game is a pleasure, for its sheer variety of options and ability to play many different ways at once. The graphics are well done, the noises necessary yet understated and everything is neatly designed and easily navigated between.
It is possible to place bets on each section at the same time, but you have to be extremely quick on the mouse to manage it. I randomly clicked through quickly and made $9.20 from a $7 stake - not a lot, but considering I just clicked whatever was closest, not bad! A thoroughly enjoyable and engaging game.
